Short answer

Canadian North publishes official baggage and power-bank guidance. Power banks / portable chargers are carry-on only, are not allowed in checked baggage, are limited to two per passenger, and are allowed only up to 100 Wh; power banks over 100 Wh are not permitted as passenger baggage and can be shipped as cargo. Canadian North says passengers must not charge power banks during flight and should avoid using power banks to charge devices onboard, must store power banks safely to prevent damage or short circuits, and may not carry damaged, defective, or recalled power banks. Its lithium-battery section separately limits passengers to 20 spare batteries, requires spare batteries in carry-on only with short-circuit protection, and prohibits lithium-ion batteries over 160 Wh on passenger aircraft.

Verdict impact

  • Airline rules are evaluated with the model capacity and exact route, not as a standalone approval.
  • Citations remain visible on verdict pages so travelers and agents can inspect the policy evidence.
  • Final airport acceptance still rests with airline and security staff.
