Battery Recall Intelligence
CertiWatt tracks public power-bank recalls at the exact model and serial/batch level so travel verdicts can block affected units without penalizing an entire brand.
An active recall only changes a verdict when the exact catalog model and affected serial or batch evidence match. Same-brand devices do not inherit a recall unless they have their own model-specific record.

CPSC, SAMR, EU Safety Gate/RAPEX, and Korea Product Safety sources are now represented as recall monitors. A monitor does not become an active recall record until exact model evidence matches the catalog.
US
Structured U.S. recall API used for model-specific recall records when product model evidence matches the catalog.

CN
China recall/enforcement monitor. Current non-U.S. active record is manually promoted from manufacturer/media evidence while regulator pages require human review.

EU
EU Safety Gate/RAPEX search integration is planned; no EU Safety Gate records currently affect active verdicts.

KR
Korea product-safety search integration is planned; no KATS records currently affect active verdicts.

Select a recalled model and enter the serial or batch code printed on the device. Pattern-backed recalls resolve here; manufacturer-list recalls point you to the official lookup.
This recall cannot be checked locally. Use the manufacturer lookup before travel.
Open official recall lookupActive affected serials return a banned verdict. A model with an active recall but no serial returns a warning and asks for serial verification. Non-matching models remain not affected.
The current public recall set is model-specific and citation-backed, but it is not a complete global recall database. Regional SAMR, EU Safety Gate/RAPEX, and Korea monitors are included in source watch; unsupported or ambiguous alerts are not promoted into verdict-changing records.
Use /api/recalls for the public recall list, /api/devices/[modelId]/recalls for one model, and device_resolved.recalls inside /api/verify for verdict-specific recall evidence. Add ?serial= when serial or batch evidence is available to return serial_evaluation; manufacturer-list recalls expose affected_serials.explicit_list_url for official lookup.
