The FAQ states that devices with installed lithium batteries may travel in cabin or checked baggage if the battery does not exceed 160 Wh, while spare batteries and power banks are not allowed in checked baggage and must always be carried in the cabin. It permits 4 spare batteries up to 100 Wh, 2 spare batteries between 100 Wh and 160 Wh, and 2 portable chargers up to 100 Wh per passenger. Spare-battery terminals must be protected with original packaging, terminal covers, or individual plastic bags, and Iberia says not to store these items in overhead bins or use them at any point during the flight.
